Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and grow a team of Senior Java Developers while driving engineering best practices, code reviews, and a culture of continuous learning.

Architecture & Delivery: Architect, design, and deliver highly scalable, secure, resilient microservices and low-latency systems.

Strategic Alignment: Partner with global stakeholders and product teams in London and New York to translate complex requirements into high-performance software solutions.

Tech Evolution: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, modernizing legacy components while actively shaping the next-gen platform.

What We Are Looking For

Must-Have Experience

Location: Based in Prague or Central Bohemia (ability to work hybrid in Prague).

Leadership: Proven track record as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Senior Lead Engineer guiding Java teams.

Core Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in Core Java, concurrent programming/multithreading, memory management, and enterprise messaging systems.

Frameworks & Databases: Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, SQL, data processing, and object-oriented design patterns.

Environment: Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments, shell scripting, and CI/CD/DevOps fundamentals.

Communication: Exceptional English communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points)

Experience in electronic trading, financial markets, execution algorithms, or market data feeds (e.g., Refinitiv, Exegy).

Hands-on experience with ultra-low latency frameworks (Aeron, OpenHFT Chronicle, Azul Zing).

Knowledge of C++, containerization, or kernel/CPU tuning (pinning, NUMA).
